Spectacular Salves

I first learned about Salves over 15 years ago and immediately fell in love.
They are portable, easy to use, heal skin conditions, you can use them on yourself, children, animals and to top it all off they are easy to make!

Salves are preparations of natural oils, beeswax and plant material.  They can be used for a variety of skin conditions including, bruises, cuts and scrapes (except puncture wounds), rashes, sunburns, radiation burns, chapped skin. Also depending on the herbs used they can make amazing diaper creams. I have friends who swear by them and tell me that they beat the pants off (no pun intended) over the counter products.

Horses are experts in hurting themselves and having something that promotes healing and fights infection is a must have. New Beginnings....

Welcome to Silver Rabbit Essentials, it's the love child of several of my passions and weaves together my gifts as an herbalist, educator and horsewoman.

I have been practicing herbalism for over 15 years and have been an educator for just about as long. I have worked in a variety of settings including apprenticing with several master herbalists in my younger years as well as providing women from all walks of life with holistic health care education through classes, workshops and individuals sessions. It is something I believe whole heartedly in and for good reason. I have witnessed over and over again the beauty and transformation that occurs when women reclaim the wisdom of their bodies.

I am a certified herbalist, aromatherapist, energy medicine practitioner and master teacher.

I have also spent much of my life around horses. Riding, working with them on the ground and educating myself about natural principles and means for creating and maintaining their health and well-being.

Through Silver Rabbit Essentials I offer herbal health care consultations for women, wellness sessions for horses and riders and a line of hand crafted organic herbal products. 

My approach is heart centered, somatically based and connects individuals with the magic of plants and the natural world.

I will be using this blog to share health tips, herbal wisdom and other musings.
